RESERVATION REQUEST:

In order to best serve you, to place your Udhia/Qurbani reservation, please email us with:

1.       YOUR FULL NAME;

2.       MAILING ADDRESS;

3.       PHONE NUMBER; AND,

4.       YOUR RESERVATION REQUEST: e.g. 1 LAMB AND/OR 2 GOATS.

 

Your reservation is not confirmed until we receive a 30% minimum deposit (down payment). 

 

DEPOSIT INSTRUCTIONS:  

Below you will find the schedule of minimum required deposit(s):

For each lamb you will need to deposit: $85.00 (minimum deposit)

For each goat you will need to deposit:  $85.00 (minimum deposit)

For each cow order you will need to deposit: $500.00 (minimum deposit)

 

Your deposit will be applied toward your purchase. DUE THE HIGH DEMAND AND THE HIGH VOLUME OF ORDERS, PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ONLY ACCEPT CASH. 

Should you fail to make a deposit, your reservation will not be confirmed and will then become on a first come first serve basis.

Note: Should you come before/after hours and PRIOR to the deadline, you may drop off your deposit at the Annandale, VA location (through July 29, 2020 7 pm only) in the dropbox located adjacent to the business office.

 

 

Upon making your deposit, you will receive a confirmation number within 24-48 hours. Should you not receive a confirmation, YOUR RECEIPT NUMBER IS YOUR CONFIRMATION. 

BELOW YOU WILL FIND ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS/INQUIRIES:

 

 1. For Directions: 

Please visit our website hamzahslaughterhouse.com or use google maps. Please do not call on the day of EID for directions as we will be immensely busy processing fellow Muslim orders. Please plan ahead.  

2. We only accept Cash. 

It is recommended that you withdraw from an ATM near you as the one near the business location may be unavailable. No other form is accepted. No Exceptions.

3. Our 2020 Prices: 

Lamb: $275

Goat: $275

Beef: $3.50 per pound. BEEF orders will not be processed on the first day of Eid and are by appointment only on the Second & Third day. Upon receipt of your deposit, we can schedule an appointment.

4. Our price includes:

The purchase of the live animal, the slaughter, skinning, washing, and cutting the product into reasonable pieces. Please plan on bringing extra bags for your packaging.

5. Net Weights:

Lamb after Slaughter: 40 lbs. and up after slaughter (at least two years of age)

Goat after Slaughter: 40 lbs. and up after slaughter (at least two years of age)

Beef ranges between 350-500 lbs. after slaughter (NO SHARES ARE SOLD; CUSTOMERS MAY DO THEIR OWN SHARES AT THEIR OWN LEISURE)

6. Selection: 

Please note our business slaughters and sells Halal meat on a daily basis. As a result, we have livestock available at all times. However, it is too early to bring the holiday livestock as the weather is very warm e.g. if you were to select your lamb/goat today at 100-80 lbs. (live weight) by the holiday time it would become at 80-60 lbs. (live weight). We will have the Holiday livestock at least two days prior to the Holiday. 

 

7. Gender selection:

Unfortunately, we CANNOT guarantee gender selection; however, we will have a variety of mixed genders and you’re welcome to select your own preference upon availability.

8.      Packaging of Cut Meat: 

Customers are responsible for your own meat once it leaves our cutting facility. We highly recommend you do not close on the meat while it’s still hot and fresh. We recommend that you bring in your own portable cooler/fridge and have sufficient ice to keep the meat fresh until the meat makes it safely to a refrigerator/freezer. Once again, please bring your own bags.

9.      Hours of Operation: 

We are open on the First day and Second day of Eid from 7 am to 7 pm.

10.    Waiting Times:

With the exception to Beef orders, it is at your discretion the time you want to come in. We cannot guarantee wait times; due to COVID19 regulations and guidelines, we are taking additional measures. While customers have attested that we’re one of the fastest processing industries in the Metropolitan area, please be patient with us as we’re taking precautionary measures to ensure your safety. There is no specific time or date as to when you want to come in for your reservation; you are welcome to arrive anytime between 7 am and 7 pm on both dates. You will be provided with additional procedural instructions on the day of your arrival.

11.    EID Prayers: 

We will perform Eid Salat Prayers on the first day of Eid; an Imam will be there. Please note that we will be practicing social distancing and therefore, please plan accordingly. Further instructions are to be announced on the day of EID. Salat Prayers are after Shorouq/Sunrise (not Fajr/Dawn); please plan accordingly.  

12.    30% minimum Deposit required on each item:

Customers who made reservations without making a deposit; their request(s) cannot be guaranteed; it will be based on a first come first serve basis.

13. Slaughtering yourself:

“Are we allowed to slaughter ourselves?” Yes, as long as you sign a liability waiver. We will email you with the liability waiver upon request.

14.  Facility: 

Our slaughter house consists of three areas, the animal building/barn (where the livestock is kept), the slaughter building (where the livestock is slaughtered) and has a small yard with a little pond for you and your family’ hangout area. You are allowed to grill and make barbecue; however, you will need to bring your own grilling supplies and utensils.

15. Restrooms: 

Restrooms will be available.

16.  Precautionary Measures:

We are maintaining social distancing guidelines and will have limited occupancy at the facility. For your safety, please plan on bringing tents/canopy as the waiting will take place in the outdoor area. We highly recommend for you to stay hydrated and take preventive measures to prevent dehydration (hats/beach umbrellas/portable fans/etc.). 

 

ADDITIONAL COVID19 INSTRUCTIONS:

What you should know before coming to the slaughter house to protect yourself, our community, and our staff from Covid-19:

PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE AND DO NOT ENTER OUR FACILITY IF YOU HAVE ANY RESPIRATORY SYMPTOMS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: High Fever, Headache, Loss of Energy/Fatigue/Taste/smell, Cough, Sore Throat, Runny Nose or Stuffy Nose, Body Aches, Diarrhea, and/or Vomiting (more frequently seen in children than adults)

You are required to wear a face covering/face mask upon entering our facility.

If you have tested positive for COVID19 in the past 6 weeks and/or you were exposed to an individual that has tested positive for COVID19 recently, please be considerate to our community and stay home. Please coordinate your reservation with a fellow family member/friend.

You are required to stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from the staff/customers.

No more than 5 individuals (one individual per order) in the office/slaughter area at a time. Please Plan accordingly.

Please bring your sanitary products e.g. wipes, hand sanitizer, etc.…
